Finally updating you all on the life at the Speer home.
TJ is still busy with work and last Sunday night finished off the football season with his JR football team. In case I never told anyone that, TJ coached a football team through the JR football program here in Sioux Falls. His team was made up of 7th and 8th graders. I went to a few games, he is fun to watch. TJ gets into the game and worked well with the boys, but it was entertaining watching him pace on the sidelines, throw his hands up in the air, gettin on them to hustle up. He really did a good job and enjoyed it. They had play offs the last couple weeks and Sunday night they lost and got 4th over all.
I have been busy with work also, the last couple weeks we seem to discharge as many pt as we get in everyday so the census stays high. I have also picked up a new hobby....my friend asked me to take a cake decorating class at hobby lobby every monday night in october with her. It was fun! I learned a lot and can now kind of decorate a cake. Now that the class is over I'll have to just make cakes for family get togethers instead!
I got a post card in the mail last week letting me know that I have been admitted to South Dakota State University. Yup, I'm going back to School for my Bachelors degree. Because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do right out of highschool I spent 2 years in Sioux Falls taking a lot of health generals, so I don't have many left to take to get my bachelors. It would be foolish of me not to go back. How long will it take me? who knows....I'm gonna take my time, cont. to work full time and go to school online.
Zoey is getting bigger and smarter everyday. Her last check up she was 22lbs at the beg. of the month. She is fun, but at times a handful of course but we knew that going into it all. She was potty trained within 2 weeks of getting her and she is now sleeping all night and doens't cry when she is put in her kennel at night. We have a little routine I think has helped her, we go to bed at night and she comes with us, lays in bed with us for a while, then we bring her to her kennel and she knows its time to sleep. She loves to steal socks out of the laundry room and play keep away from us. Oh the joys of having a puppy.
TJ and I have finally taken the time to hang decorations, pictures etc after about 2 months of looking at naked walls. We just needed time to decide and visualize :) I have attached lots of pictures of the finished product. ENJOY!
I have Thanksgiving off so I will see some of you then! Unfortunately I have to work the day after so shopping won't be an option for me....unless we have a low census I may get off work early.
Schaap family - you have been and cont. to be in our prayers
Von - not jealous of the snow you got....I want summer already.
